“I am absolutely thrilled to mentor and tutor my select group of budding makeup artists at my Makeup School in Hillcrest and see them grow and start a career in an industry I’ve been successful and happy in”
WHO I AM AT HEART:
I am dedicated, hardworking, thorough, creative, passionate and inspired.
I give my all. Bursting with creative ideas and energy. I love socialising getting to know all sorts of people, learning new things from them and finding out about their lives.
I’m a hyper conversationalist and a business athlete.
I’m a gift giver and I love receiving gifts. Not such a huge fan of surprises. I’m a planner, a doer and a list maker. I’m mischievous (in a fun way)
Being an empath means I take on other peoples worries, emotions and sadness and I make it my own. Laughing and smiling are my go to “coping mechanisms”
Friends mean the world to me and I will give and forgive easily. That hasn’t always been the case!
I’m artsy, I admire all forms of art and can see beauty in the mundane.
I would choose books in bed over TV on the couch any day.
I don’t drink coffee, I love an English tea but my favourite thing is taking a long deep breath and breathing in the smell of freshly brewed coffee and seeing my friends enjoy it.
Mentoring and teaching people the hair and makeup skills as well as life lessons, I’ve learnt along the way is what makes me tick. Seeing them flourish, grow and reap the rewards of living a fulfilled life doing what you love every day is what gives me goosebumps. Being a Mommy to my two little kids makes my heart pump. Our little boy looks more like me than Daddy, but he is helpful, polite and kind just like my husband. Our little girl is feisty and knows just what she wants! My family mean the world to me.
I’m opinionated and strong willed and I refuse to give up something I believe strongly in. I stand up for what I believe is right and my love for God and family is my driving force in life.
I’m often asked (in fact daily) Why do I do this job? What lead me to picking this creative journey?
I do this job because I love meeting new people and learning more about their lives and seeing them flourish. I get such a joy out of art that the two elements of what I do for a living mesh perfectly. To see someone look at themselves in the mirror, their shoulders lift and they smile is a feeling that sticks with me long after they leave.
