01.  Basic Makeup: 27th & 28th January

02.  Bridal Makeup: 10th – 13th February

03.  Basic Hair: 24th – 27th February

04.  Fashion/Editorial:  10th – 13th March

05.  Business Course: 17th – 19th March (middle day Business Plan at home)  everything needed to start your own business and certificate

MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE FULL TIME AND THE PART TIME: 

OPTION 1:

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM 8 WEEKS FULL TIME:  includes your colour makeup kit and skincare kit, student makeup brush set, work experience with our team, assignments with feedback, portfolio shoot and Mentorship guidance throughout your course.  (Optional kit upgrade to Bridal Kit, please enquire)

OPTION 2:

Part time budget friendly option, you will need to buy your kit separately (from us) and includes the modules/courses you choose from the dates below with none of the above extras.  You will need to complete the course modules in order starting with MODULE 01. BASICS (even if you have attended prior makeup courses).

All our makeup courses are intensive short course modules, which each come with a certificate when doing the modules part time.  

OPTIONAL ADDITION:  DIPLOMA IN HAIR AND MAKEUP ARTISTRY After 90 hours of signed off practice hours (roughly 2 yrs) following successful completion of their Mentorship Program, students are eligible to apply for their Diploma and MAC discount card.   The cost to complete your diploma is an annual registration fee of R25,000 (payable upfront on completion of the Mentorship Program)  You will submit your work at the end of every quarter (March/June/Sep)

We are a MAC PRO eligible school and partnered with ghd.  We offer intensive, short courses which fit together as modules towards a PRO Hair & Makeup Certification.

Our Makeup School is in it’s tenth year and we have a 100% success rate of Graduates entering the industry either working as Freelance Makeup Artists on our PRO Team or owning their own businesses. 

We adore getting to know our makeup students as we mentor and guide them. This is the first step in starting their journey towards their own makeup artistry careers as PRO freelance makeup artists.

We assist them in building up their own MAC makeup kits and advise them on everything from Basic makeup techniques in our first course to Bridal makeup and hair.

We run our makeup and hair courses TWICE a year.

We exclusively take a max of 4 makeup students per intake.  Once our intake is full, we will close that intake and you will be added to our waitlist for the next available intake. 

INTAKE 1 – JAN – MARCH

INTAKE 2 – JULY – SEP

We have two options available to our students:

WHERE?  Our courses take place in Hillcrest, KZN (home studio) 

WHEN?   Weekdays only (course dependent) from 8:30 – 11:30am 

BUSINESS COURSE MODULE 

We believe its imperative for our students to know how to run their successful hair and makeup business.  We cover everything in our Business Course Module!  This includes marketing, dealing with enquiries as well as invoicing and financial record keeping.

WORK EXPERIENCE – available to students on our MAKEUP MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

We have a Nationwide team of hair and makeup artists around South Africa – Accentuate Hair and Makeup and the idea is that the cream of the crop from the makeup school go into the agency team and begin working as freelance makeup artists in Durban, Midlands and around South Africa.
